Interesting update. Sounds like he was kind of asking for it, figuratively and literally. Why was it done on boxers vs. bare? Also, what did his boxers look like?

Thanks for sharing this update Jack. It's not the first time MMSA has been down in recent months. It is concerning how sensitive the archive is to host updates, but I'm sure they are working to make it better.

I'm a huge underwear fan myself. It relates to my interest in guys, and in spanking. I'm also generally curious so see what men and boys are wearing.

From a practical standpoint, I see no reason why a child that young needs anything more complex for underwear than briefs. The comments about obscenity, playing with him self, etc. are just "red herrings" to distract from the grandmother's decision to change his underwear.

From a social/peer pressure perspective, underwear is quite complex. As boys gets older and have to change in front of peers they switch from briefs to boxer briefs. This usually around the start of middle school. The underwear "upgrade" is almost treated as a coming of age in western society today. Young men who prefer the style/fit of briefs can continue to wear them, but the peer pressure will be strongly pitted against them, especially in the tween/early adolescent years.

As for why, there is this association with boy=briefs, man=boxer(briefs), I don't actually know. I agree with Jack though, it's more intimate to be seen in briefs, than in any of the boxer variants. There are also not as many style options (colors, patterns, etc) available for briefs.

As a boy I wore (mostly white) briefs right through high school. In 7th grade (mid-90s) boxers arrived in full force and I didn't like them very much. I wasn't alone in this, but we were soon the minority in the locker room!

Every year I noticed the freshmen, who had to change for the same period of PE, would arrive in stark white briefs on day 1. 90% would switch to boxers by the end of their first week. Needless to say, I tried to maximize my time in the locker room during the first week of school each year!

Currently, there is a great diversity of underwear for men and boys. I don't think it's a polarized issue (boxers vs. briefs) as it once was. There's still a general aversion to basic white briefs, except for very young boys (and older men). I wear boxer briefs, as do most guys my age. I love briefs for all things spanking though.

Thanks for all the deets Jack. I just read the bedroom post as well. So Craig is the youngest in that room with Kenny and Colt. How does he like that? Does he seem to relate more to older or younger peers?

Nice of you to get him some clothes of his own. An ex partner of mine had a niece and nephew (I think about 10 and 12 yrs at the time) who grew up in poverty. For Christmas one year we took them on a modest shopping trip, and it was the highlight of their entire holiday season. Who knew something so simple would bring so much joy!

Have you seen Craig wearing his new boxer briefs yet? Did you replace all his underwear, or just supplement what he came with.

I purchased a cheap used car at age 16 as well. And it was my pride and joy. Screwing up and not being able to drive it would have been very bad. So I get Kaden's motivation to pursue the alternative. The bath brush sounds pretty painful but I would think 8 swats would be tolerable but memorable. Did he know it was only going to be 8 from the start?

I remember watching the move in a 10th grade english class (after we studied the novel). I sheepishly looked around to see if anyone was as interested as I was! In the years that followed I rented all versions of that movie (among others with spanking scenes) and watched when I had the opportunity to do it discretely.

Oh to be young...I remember all kinds of stalling tactics back in the day, and see the same in my niece, nephew and friends with young kids. I think those held-by-the-hand-while-standing spanks are the perfect reminder you mean business. Hope they were well behaved in the bathtub and during the movie after!

As an aside how many of us wore actual pajamas as young kids? I always thought people slept in underwear until I went to my first sleepover.
