Jakke ... bless you for recognizing Bobby Watson. I miss him greatly. He only posted 104 stories over his many years with us, but that guy
wrote MMSA Americana in a way that spoke and still speaks to our MMSA souls with such carefully and beautifully crafted gems. His Corey Lane
adventures and his railroad themed works are some of my favorites. His passing left a large void in that manner. I think, but am not certain that
Bobby was likely a member of Jack's old site. Maybe somebody can speak to that. Anyway, I still admire him for his efforts and always will.

I'll never think of roofs including my own here in Missouri quite the same way again!  ;)

Free Discussion / Re: Footballer banned for homophobic slur
« on: March 10, 2026, 06:43:53 am »
I thought gay was the proper way to address someone who is homosexual.  Evidently it is not.

It is the proper way. I don't understand where in the thread it is said that it is not. Oh well!  :) ... but more than just that. It was not that the phrase "gay boy" was said, it was clearly the derogatory tone it was said in that made the referree take notice, nothing else in my mind.

It's all very silly, like the kerfluffle over Timothee Chalamet's comments about opera and ballet this weekend.

So, here are his comments: In a conversation with Matthew McConaughey, Chalamet said, "I don't want to be working in ballet, or opera, or things where it's like, 'Hey, keep this thing alive, even though like no one cares about this anymore.' All respect to all the ballet and opera people out there". There are many other ways dear Timothee could have said that he chooses not to engage in themes that involve ballet or opera. Personally I don't care about opera either, but I love ballet. I can easily imagine that in upcoming awards shows that writers are going to capitalize on his comments in some sort of sketch comedy in involving him as a way to apologize. Maybe he sings opera while a ballet troop around him are prancing about.

The match referree's judgement was that Fletcher's  "gay boy" was both intentional and a slur. And I agree with that. Mr. Fletcher was forced by his
employer, Manchester foorball club to issue an apology to the press, the content of which to me is not at all credible, but it will have to suffice. The suspension
and fine are nothing compared to the vast amount of money Manchester pays him to kick footballs, not slur other players on the pitch. So, then there's the problem
of why Manchester, or for that matter, any professional sports club on any continent (or most anyway) care at all. And that boils down to public relations. I doubt
Mr. Fletcher has learned anything except maybe that pissing off one's source of enourmous income is probably not in his best interests. I am equally as sure that
his slurring is not going to stop privately if not in public. Am I cynical about this issue, oh yes, I am.

I echo David's praise of this first of a promised short series. It's going to be a corker!

Story Discussion / Re: A Puzzle
« on: February 25, 2026, 06:38:51 am »
Somebody sent me feedback on this story: https://malespank.net/viewStory.php?id=23741&av=0b354b57958b4de. They asked me a question I could only answer by going into the story. I found that the story has two filled six-pointed stars. Only one other story has been so well voted. The puzzle is why this story is singled out for the supreme readers' accolade above all the others except one.

The topic of why does a particular MMSA story seem to do so much better statistically than another is a rather very old and among the most discussed and venerated mysteries in the large annals of the MMSA forum. I'll state at the outset that unlike Mr. Pulthorpe's "something is missing" moment that eventually results in a rousing success with Welbeck, that like many such stories discussed over the years, A Proper Caning's success will not be solved today by me. But ... one can conjecture. And my conjecture is this section from the story that really surprised me. Even you Plagosus have seldom written with such bright, fun clarity. It made me smile, grin and think to myself that it charmed readers so much so that over its years received votes beyond the norm. Am I right? Nobody will ever know, but I fancy that there could be a truth here. The section:

The first stroke was bright. It lit up Welbeck’s bottom. Welbeck’s bottom had never been so well illuminated.
The second was brisk. It was decidedly businesslike and its business was sting of premium quality.
The third was breezy. Not a gentle refreshing zephyr, but a strong gust.
The fourth was bracing. It was more than invigorating.
The fifth was breathtaking. It took Welbeck’s breath away.
The sixth was Brightonian. Brightonian? Yes. On the right day a walk along Brighton seafront can be bright, brisk, breezy, bracing and breathtaking. The sixth was all those.

So there it is, take it or leave it. That the Blackmail story is your best and most voted to me is no surprise. Devising clever crime-mysteries in a caning story is no small feat and you've done it a couple of times I think.

Any MMSA author to reach 500 is to be heartily congratulated. He is now the 14th
MMSA author to do so. Superb!

Jakked continues to share his amazing creativity. Truthfully, I'm envious. But at least I get to review his stories and get them out there for all to enjoy. Thanks man, keep 'em coming!

Story Discussion / Re: Blake and Kaden: Series Finale Published Today
« on: February 13, 2026, 10:24:00 am »
I loved Blake and Kaden and though I am sorry to see it end you've so much more content now and into the future of your growing MMSA story archive that you'll have no difficulties filling the void with, I am sure, many more future similar and complimentary series. For those who may not know, Jakked's imagination and creativity has grown by leaps and bounds. I love his American high school sports approach. I am in fact envious of how many creative twists and turns his spankee's find themselves. I just don't have that kind of ability, and as an author live vicariously through Jakked's generous offerings.

Perhaps offer it to www.corpun.com site ?

Interesting. I would have never thought of corpun and to me and ordinarily Ardric's collection would fit there. But corpun seems to be
having a great deal of difficult updating their/his site (whoever is operating it). The last update I just checked, 5 months ago.

I know that before the MMSA forum went down, the forum hosted a thread about that very difficulty of corpun not updating. Obviously, this would be
Adric's choice or decision, not anyone else's. Remember, Adric did not approach me. It was I who solicited Adric to offer his collection to whatever future MMSA forum that Flag
might revive. He very quickly agreed including to let me help him make sure that is wonderful collection is safely achived until such time.

And since I went to Adric, if it were me, I'd wish that Corpun would ask Adric to host it on his/their own. If the owner does not get around and search out more content on his/their own then kind of what's the point? Nonetheless, your creative suggestion is noted Y. Lee. And if in the future it is solicited by Corpun or otherwise offered up to Corpun by Adric, then so much the better for Adric's collection.

Adric and I have worked together to make sure that his unicorn clipping collection is safe-guarded against loss and yes, it remains
to be seen which future MMSA forum will host its contents thread. It also occured to me the other day that the collection could
become a focus or resource for future spanking story author challenges.

As I am a "spanking" new member of Jack's House, I finally stumbled upon this amazing nearly 8 year old thread by Adric. Wow, what a collection! I don't think even the old Corpun site can match this rarity. In the back of my mind the collection is so rare that if/when we get back the MMSA site, that collection can be copied over to the MMSA forums in order to give it the best chance of being preserved for kind of all time? Up to the thread's author I guess. Anyway, it was wonderful discovering the thread, thanks again!

MMSA Discussion / Re: MMSA Forum is down
« on: January 19, 2026, 05:27:26 pm »
First off Jack, thank you for hosting this frustrating topic. I empathize with everything I've read thus far and am unsure I have anything new to contribute so much as to try and emphasize that Ian wants to get our forum back online. Given why Dreamhost took us offline is the very, very complex rub. If this were just a simple matter of starting a brand new forum from scratch, he would have done it by now. The problem as you all are well aware is that the old forum has far too much old, revered historically valuable content to not try and save. But to do so given how Ian altered the original phpBB software from it's basic programming, well, he's tried to explain some of the details and it went right over my head in two seconds flat and so he's still muddling how to please himself, us and especially Dreamhost. Having said that, the story archive is not only alive and well, but thriving. Better than that, our rudimentary age verification page has not, at least from my point of view prevented our readers from reading and voting at basically the same rates as before AG. Yes, it seemed touch and go for awhile, but I think runs smoothly now. Most of our story hits are more realistic than before in my opinion. Anyway ... feel free to ask me questions if you have any and I'm glad for a chance to contribute to this thread, so thanks again Jack!
