And yes, Zyngaru is one of the two main people who keep me from totally humiliating myself on a regular basis.  Thanks, Z.  Thanks, Adric.

The thing is, when I did start getting back to things, I had an idea for a new series, which is going to be 12 chapters wrong/long.

I guess I did have a flu or something.  It hit so hard that I ended  up just taking a week off to recover - no trying to write or anything.

The thing is, when I did start getting back to things, I had an idea for a new series, which is going to be 12 chapters wrong.  I've written 11 chapters in the past 12 or so days, so I haven't been doing much other writing.  I expect the first chapter to be posted on Wednesday.

I'm still not back to 100%, but I actually have a normal appetite again, and I didn't waken hacking and coughing for a half hour to clear my head and throat, so hopefully I'm getting close.  I've taken a full break from writing this past week or so, but I'll be trying to get back into the groove now.

You're welcome,

Believe me I get it. I haven't really been here in a couple years.

Thanks, Kitty.

For the record, there haven't been any updates recently because I'm just recovering from either a mild flu or a miserable cold.  I guess it could have even been Covid, now that I think about it.

Anyway, once I'm completely back on my feet, I'm giong to have to catch up a few things, then I'll try to get back to the updates again.

If you've read 1, 2, 3 Punch, then you know I've been told to get off my ass and get more involved with life.

In the past 5 years, I've lost several older family members, dealing with a couple of other hard situations, some health problems, and fairly serious depression .

Part of trying to be more active and involved will occur here (with a bit of luck).  I added a new section 'Updates 2025', where I will be trying to update everyone on each of my kids and other important people.  I decided to do an entire new section for it, just to make it easier to keep track.

HONESTY TIME - Losing the original forum was a huge blow to me for a large number of reasons - the huge amount of time and effort that had gone into it. all the friends I'd known there (including some who are no longer with us), but also details.

I"ve always made it clear that there wasn't much I was treating as 100% true, and this showed up occasionally in cases where I got 'Curtis and Connor' mixed up (actually, the names I was using here for the two boys).  One of the things we lost was a lot of the details.  Because of that, if I say something slightly wrong or that just doesn't sound right, it's probably because of that.  I don't remember what Van's full name was any longer, so if I just call him Van, you'll have to accept my apologies.  As much as I have enjoyed sharing these stories and events with you, I have always tried to maintain a certain amount of privacy, or, at least, plausible deniability.

Please don't start new threads in that section.  If you have someone you're dying to know abuot, please send me a PM.  However, I will tell you that some of these are going to be much harder on me than others, and I'll deal with those as I'm able.
