I absolutely loved it too. (I was fortunate enough to see it on Christmas Eve, which was a perfect time for it.)

The Holdovers is an absolute delight of a film kind of in the vein of Dead Poet's Society.

Paul Giamatti and Da'Vine Joy Randolph both received well-earned Oscar nominations.   Dominic Sessa should have (and did receive a BAFTA nomination) for his film debut.  He's perfection.   I haven't enjoyed a new movie this much in a long time.  Please see it.
