Another really good chapter from DKellis: The Bust.
Fully appreciating this one requires a little background from previous chapters.  My recommended solution to that is to read the whole series, A Family Saga.

DKellis now has a terrific follow-on chapter posted to his A Family Saga series:

Trying not to say too much, I'll just say that this chapter covers a scene that anyone reading this series must have been expecting and hoping for.  The writing is outstanding, and the grasp and portrayal of human emotions is awesome.  Fantastic story, and fantastic series.

I couldn't agree more, Adric. This is a series to get your teeth into. The good thing about a series is how much character development happens. Danny is a great writer, with a real gift for story telling. Nothing ever seems implausible. Every passage of narrative and dialogue feels natural.

I don't want to mention this at MMSA, and I don't suppose it matters to Danny, but I wonder why the stories in this series don't get shields. This story has an important development. Even if a reviewer didn't want to rec every story in a lengthy series, this one is special.

Many thanks to you all.

I want to thank Kat, Skip, and HBB for some behind-the-scenes editorial advice.

I would encourage all of us here, who are the majority of the MMSA WHASS writers, to dust off the keyboards.

I loved both stories.  What a treat to find both amidst the chaff of what is increasingly MMSA offerings.

Katz has a new story called "Up in His Room".

Ken deals with the aftermath of a serious error in judgement up in his room. There is a lot to love in this story. Katz does an exceptional job of writing on this one. It's has warmth and a loving father-son relationship, but it also has elements people will find hot.

Agreed.  Dave's story hits all the right buttons for me.  Beautifully written WHASS story with believable characters and a satisfying ending.  My kind of story.
