Jack, 

That didn't look like you slowed down with the spanking.  They are just older now.

I do understand getting overwhelmed and overloaded in college.  It is better to take a lighter subject load and be able to keep up with it, you just have to go longer, than taking way too many subjects and can't keep up.

I'm really not sure if I should start this or not, but we're going to give it a try.

Duncan, Connor, and Curtis have all gotten lazy about things and got fairly mild paddlings for 3 strikes.  However, I sent Duncan to bed early last night because of some curfew problems he's been having, and he apparently thought Grandpa would still put up with attitude after the discussion they all had with me, so he got put to bed after a long, through hand spanking, which I think embarrassed him as much as anything.

Lincoln got a real spanking with the small Lexan after arguing with me about his homework folder and free time.  Apparently he thought he was bulletproof just because he's an upperclassman and three inches taller than me.  When push came down to shove, and he realized he'd crossed a line, he backed down and was pleading for another chance like any naughty little boy.

Chas was a slightly different situation.  He's having a lot of trouble with college.  He has trouble admitting he's bit off more than he can chew, especially to his father.  Perry is busy with a lot of things right now, and Chas wasn't comfortable reaching out to him.  I told him what a little idiot he is.  He knows how much they love him and we'd all be more than happy to help him.  For now, he's staying here during the week, and we're seeing what he needs to do to get things back in order.  And yes, he got very similar to what Ennis and Linc got, but not as hard.  He needed catharsis more than anything, though I could tell he was still feeling tender at breakfast the next morning.
