Hola Jack, I love all the updates, thanks a lot.

After some thought and consideration, I recently decided to continue this thread instead of starting another one - here or in Updates 2025.

First of all, let me say that Chris' Aunt moved in with the Tidwells.. I want to say right before the Pandemic.  She's getting older and starting to develop some mobility issues, but she's able to do a lot of supervision and help Mrs. T with some things, as well as making sure she's taking her meds and maintaining her healthy schedule/menu.

That seems to be working pretty well. There certainly haven't been the semi-regular major life disruptions that were occurring for a while.

Perry - Perry is 24 now, he got an associates and is nearly through with his apprenticeship as an electrician.  He hangs around a lot with Gordy and a couple of guys he works with who are also early to mid 20s.  He makes at least a couple of trips to Austin every year, since he seems to consider Noah, Barry, and the twins as his big brothers.  He's still single, though he's currently dating a young lady he seems serious about.

Evan - 21, Evan is one of my boys.  He visits his family for holidays, but he stays here when school's out.  Like my other boys, he's taking five years to go through college.  He's attending a major Texas university, and he's majoring in Ecology and minoring in Park Management.

In my recent update about Ennis, I said this:

This occurred Sunday, 2 February 2025

I was even more surprised to see...Chas, Linc, Bo, and Royce Tidwell.

"... Chas?”

“Yes, sir?”

“Are you seriously telling me you need a spanking?”

The nineteen-year old college sophomore blushed deeply and shook his head.  “No, sir,” he added, “but these three could really use you following up at the Academy.  Dad’s been really busy.”

He paused, blushing again, before he went on, “I really do need to talk to you, if you have time.”

“I always have time for you, buddy.

I said that Chas is a sophomore in college, but didn't mention he's attending locally right now.  Lincoln is in 11th grade, Bo is in 8th, and Royce is in 7th.

I did go in to BCA and talk to their teachers.  None of them are doing horrible, but all of them are having some problems.  Since it's still early in the semester, all the teacher's are willing to allow some make up work, and I promised to start supervising them.  Chas brought them over that afternoon, and we took a look at their homework folders.  All four of the boys got paddled (Chas because he knew about it for a couple of weeks before he brought it to anyone's attention), then we sat some rules for their folders.  They're coming over to study here after school each day, and we set a schedule for them to catch up on all their work, which they finished on time.

Chas is having a bit of school trouble as well, and we sat up a modified homework folder for him, but a lot of his problem is more personal.  He misses Evan horribly.  He and Perry are going to visit Ev next weekend (this weekend is Bryce's bday, and he's coming home for that). He was also asking about ****, which is hilarious, but he's so earnest about it and so shy.

"Yes, Chas, **** is still okay when you're an adult.  Masturbating with a friend when you're an adult is still fine, as long as it's consensual, and it doesn't mean you're gay.  Yes, you and Linc are within three years or each other, so that's not illegal or anything.  I also suggested he talk to Nick.  Nick's a bit younger, but I know he's having a lot of the same problems.

Sounds like he got a swift response to that test. And he was a bit emotional about the whole thing, before and after. That all suggests that he really did learn something today.

I'm kind of torn on issues like this.  I think that the lecture had made him realize just how bad he'd screwed up.  This is why I explain spankings (or other punishments) as a consequence.  I let the boys know that I believe they are sorry, and that I believe they've learned their lesson, but neither of those changes what they did.  To a large extent, I do believe that how they feel with punishment pending is not necessarily how they're going to feel later,  if you just accept their apology and let it go.  I guess I'm saying that, to me, the real reason for any type of punishment is to make sure they understand viscerally that their behavior was unacceptable to you.  That's also why I feel it's okay to let older kids off with 'just' a whupping, rather than grounding them for any length of time.

What made you pick a small paddle, rather than using your hand? In which room was the spanking carried out, and was anyone witnessing? Do you give over the lap spankings like this to other students, or just ones you know well?

Lincoln is 11, not small for his age, and athletic.  While I probably could have used my hand (or used the regular paddle for his age/size), I think a spanking makes my point better, and the paddle makes it more thoroughly.

Right now, the main office has an empty office, and a meeting room.  The meeting room is often used for more than a couple of kids in trouble (especially if parents become involved), and I use it some time.  For reference, I also often paddle in the empty room across from my class room.  In this case, I actually used Mr. P's office, since he was at lunch at the time.

I'm not going to say I've never given an over the lap spanking to a student I didn't know well (like with Bobby Hatcher, about whom you can read here: https://jackshouse.createaforum.com/anecdotes/school-trouble-spring-2019/msg11872/#msg11872 ).  However, actual spankings like this are very rare unless given by parents.  Remember, I am basically the godparent for the Tidwell kids, and I treat them the same way I would my own.  Even with 'my own' kids (Colt, Van, Liam, Kaden, and Zeke), the Tidwells, the Strouse boys, and the Loomis family; even if I'm called on to discipline them, I'll decide what the situation calls for, and the older ones will probably get paddled rather than spanked most of the time.

I had to use the heart icon.  Not that I loved that Lincoln was spanked, but that I loved how innocent and cute he was standing their rubbing his sore bottom with his pen is sticking out, without a care in the world.

Aw poor kiddo....
But I also can agree with what went down and the natural consequences that followed.....

Sounds like Linc got a bit too big for his britches. There is the innocence of, as you say, not realizing just how many rules he was breaking. But there's also the desire to push the limits just a little bit further each time to see what happens.

Sounds like he got a swift response to that test. And he was a bit emotional about the whole thing, before and after. That all suggests that he really did learn something today.

I spanked Lincoln at school today.

For those of you who don't know, I'm basically godfather to the oldest four Tidwell kids, and, to an extent, to all their kids.

I have known the Tidwell boys pretty much since John moved in with us, which has been nearly six years now.  The oldest Tidwell boy - Perry - has been friends with John nearly that entire time.

Lincoln is a fifth grader now and recently turned 11.  Like all his brothers so far, he's big for his age - about 5' tall, and probably 90 lbs.

Anyway, during recess this morning, Lincoln went inside to use the bathroom, but somehow decided it would be a good idea to go over to the middle school section and try to wave at Chas.   Of course he was caught and was then sent to the office for being out of place and disrupting class.  Because Chris doesn't work nearby and sometimes has to travel, and because Mrs. T has younger children, I'm often tagged to stand in as the parent for the Tidwell kids, especially now that I work there.

I should also say that Chris is very strict on misbehavior at school.

By the time I got out of class and got Linc to the office, he was pretty upset.  This was one of those things little boys do without thinking of how many rules they're breaking.  Kids aren't usually allowed to go in to use the bathroom, and the fact that he'd claimed it was an emergency made the rest look pretty bad.  He promised me that he'd really needed to pee bad and had only thought of 'saying hi' to Chas while he was peeing.  I took him at his word, but he knew he needed to go straight back out, he knew he wasn't supposed to be in the middle school section.  The 'disrupting class' thing seemed minor to me, but it was kind of the cherry on top.

Linc had already been lectured, and he knew that his dad was going to be upset with him.  While Chris has agreed that he will avoid double jeopardy, if I give the boys punishment beyond what a normal student would get, I do have to be serious about it.  I did offer to treat this like a regular school offense, and let his dad deal with the rest, but he did NOT want to have to wait for the other shoe to drop.  I should also mention that he's already been in trouble for out of bounds this year, and that his dad has apparently offered to use the belt on him recently, which probably influenced his decision.

There are a number of paddles available at BCA, since they deal from 6 year olds to young adults.  I selected the next smallest paddle, had Lincoln drop his pants and briefs, put him over my lap, and gave him a very thorough spanking.  He was having a loud, hard cry before I let him up.

Lincoln isn't shy, at least not around me, my kids, and his brothers.  Instead of rushing to dress, he paused to enjoy a good rub.  It was pretty cute.  Despite only recently turning 11, it looks like he's starting puberty.  Not many signs yet, and I haven't seen him undressed in a bit, but I'm sure his balls were a bit bigger than before.  Like his brothers, he's pretty well hung - probably about three inches long, which I think is a bit bigger than average for a per-pubescent boy, though not huge.  His sac isn't stretching much, so his balls are still pretty close up to his belly, which makes that long, thin **** kind of jut out, like he was half hard.  As he rubbed, it bounced around as well.

Very cute, even though he was still crying.

Everything is stable as far as I can tell.

We're just getting into soccer and baseball season (and basketball season isn't quite over yet), so everyone is very busy, but I still see  Perry and the boys on a pretty regular basis, and the older boys seem to be staying out of trouble.

Has there been any further problem or has the family gone back to normal?

I just needed to say that Chas has gone home.

Things went well while he was here.  He was homesick a bit, but he was able to see most of his family on a pretty regular basis, and he enjoyed being here with his friends, so there wasn't too much hardship, though he did get into a bit of trouble a time or two.

If this hadn't happened at Chritmas, this probably wouldn't have taken so long, but they normally only move emergency cases because of the number of state holidays at the end of the year.  There was also some problems because of the number of kids and because they homeschool (which means many less records and people to interview).  Eventually, because nothing like this had ever happened before with any of the kids, it was decided that this was an unfortunate accident.  They have made it very clear that they are keeping an open file on her, so if anything happens again, it won't end as quickly or easily.

Chas actually was allowed to go home last week, but he stayed with us until last Saturday, so he didn't have to move during the school week.  He has called a couple of times, and he says things are going pretty well and seem like they're basically back to normal.

Because this was a class C misdemeanor Chas only has 24 hours of community service, of which he's already done 8.

I'm also glad to hear that the judicial consequences weren't more severe.  What did his community service consist of?

The 8 he did so far, which was all before Christmas, was for the Huff Foundation, helping get last minute food stuffs and gifts for kids distributed.
